Kara is a native Texan and grew up in the Dallas area.

While in school after hearing a lecture on mammography, she knew that was where she wanted to be. After researching the field, she chose Solis because the focus was mammography, and the Radiologist were breast specialist.

Kara worked in law enforcement for ten years before becoming a Radiology Technologist. She received her Radiology education from Baylor Allied Health School, a hospital-based program, through Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She worked at Baylor University Medical Center as a Radiology Technologist for eight years.

Kara joined Solis in 2019 as a Mammography Technologist at Cedar Hill, then worked at Grand Prairie and Mansfield. While at Grand Prairie they received close to 250 consecutive five-star ratings on Google from patients. Her reasoning behind the ratings "When you love what you do, it's not just a job ... it's a life journey".
