The Peace of Mind of Every Patient is Our Top Priority
We want every diagnostic patient to have an exceptional experience. We understand that patients may feel anxious about their upcoming biopsy. To help give them peace of mind, our Care Coordinators serve as personal guides to support the continuum of care before and after the biopsy.
Our Care Coordinator calls the patient two days before the procedure to make sure they are prepared and answer questions. The Care Coordinator also follows up after the procedure to check in and, based on the referring physician’s preference, can deliver the biopsy results. If the results show a malignancy, the Care Coordinator helps with patient hand off to a nurse navigator.
Benefits of the Program:
- The same Care Coordinator works with a patient before and after their biopsy, providing a compassionate and personal touch.
- This is not a call center. Care Coordinators are trained and experienced in working with patients who have a new malignant result.
- The program ensures seamless continuum of care before and after the procedure.
