Kara began her career at Solis in 2015 as a mammography technologist at the BASH location. In 2022, she was promoted to lead technologist and also obtained her breast sonography registry, becoming the lead sonography technologist. 

Prior to her joining Solis, Kara worked for six years as an aide to technologists before earning her associate degree from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Following her graduation, she moved to Richmond, Virginia, and took a position at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center, where she began her training in mammography.
