Norma joined the US Air Force in 1982 and retired from the Air Force in 2006 as a Medical Group Education and Training Manager. Norma trained as a mammographer in 1989 and became registered in 1991. In 2003, she earned the Chief Zembrod Senior Radiology Manager of the Year, Pacific Region. After retirement from the military, she dedicated herself to working as a Mammography Technologist for Medical Imaging of Manhattan and Weill Cornell At New York Presbyterian. She also worked as a contract employee for Devicor (Mammotome) Medical Devices as a Clinical Applications Specialist providing training and troubleshooting support for Mammotome vacuum assisted breast biopsy devices.
Norma has an A.A.S. in Radiology from Community College of the Air Force, a dual major- B.A. Health Care Admin and BS in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo College and an M.A. in Administrative Management/Public Administration from the University of Maryland, University College - Bowie State.
